Cannot reconnect to gateway while starting apache using adapcctl.sh

While starting Apache or any other script under COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts/<CONTEXT_NAME> throws Cannot reconnect to gateway.

 >adapcctl.sh start

adapcctl.sh version 115.55

Cannot reconnect to gateway

Cause:  Application Object Library is unable to reconnect to your gateway ORACLE account after you unsuccessfully attempted to sign-on.

Action:  Check that your gateway environment variable is set correctly.
Apache Web Server Listener is not running.
Starting Apache Web Server Listener (dedicated HTTP) ...

Cause:  Application Object Library is unable to reconnect to your gateway ORACLE account after you unsuccessfully attempted to sign-on.

Action:  Check that your gateway environment variable is set correctly.

adapcctl.sh: exiting with status 3


Solution:

This occurs due to incorrect entries in the dbc file. Make sure that the dbc file is created without any issues.

Tried generating dbc file, it came back with the following error. Use $COMMON_TOP/admin/install/adgendbc.sh

Unique constraint error (00001) is OK if key already exists

This was an issue with wrong /etc/hosts entry. Make sure that all the entries in the hosts file are properly mapped to ip address
